Monday Greetings!

Our day started off composing an acrostic poem for the word 'perseverance' which students will finish tonight for homework.  I'm looking forward to reading their completed poems!

In social studies we are continuing learning about early European explorers.  We will complete this unit next week prior to our break for the Thanksgiving holiday.  Look in our hallway for portraits and information about these famous explorers.

Our rotation into the science lab began today with our study into Variables and Simple Machines.  We're excited to be back with Mr. Kearney and explore through hands-on activities.  Please look for a parent letter and scoring rubric that came home today.

Today's specials were Spanish and P.E., ask your child about "Dia de la Muerta!"

We're continuing our read aloud of Crash by Jerry Spinelli.  Our focus is character development and
change.

In math we had our chapter 4 opening lesson on multiplying and dividing fractions.  Chapter 3 post tests were also gone over and will come home tonight for your review, signature, and comments.

Today's Homework:

*  Read 30 minutes
* Complete acrostic poem for 'Perseverance'
* Complete explorer chart for social studies.
